Extends Your Admin Abilities to Catalog Side For Better Workflows

Sick of jumping back and forth between admin and catalog to edit products? Tired of searching for multi-store categories in the edit area? Want to significantly speed up your workflow? Need a blueprint to build your own front admin actions? This mod is for you!

"Frontside Admin Actions" is an extension that will allow admin abilities on the catalog side of your store for super fast management. This means that you can browse your catalog while logged in as admin, then jump to edit right from the entity itself. No more time wasting. No more searching backend for a certain item. Upon clicking an Edit button you will be dropped directly into the edit page. Easy peasy.

Installation is simple: Drop 1 vQmod and 1 API file into your store, log in as admin, and rejoice at your faster admin workflow! This mod can be disabled at any time by turning off the vQmod.

Is This Extension Secure?
Yes. We do not manipulate the admin auth, session, or cookie system in any way. There are no API users or keys. There is no re-writing, database tables, or extra trigger data. This is a "client side" framework that runs just like a new tab on your browser. It piggybacks on your existing session to provide real-time authorization. There is no sensitive data such as tokens or admin routes exposed...it is all pulled on-demand. SSL enabled on admin of your store is recommended.


Does This Work With Multi-Stores?
Yes. Although we don't modify the admin user auth system, we do make it available for cross domain use through JSONP. This means that your other attached stores can still utilize the auth system without messy (insecure) cookies, CURL user sessions, or API users.


Do You Offer Actions for Other Mods?
We will do the best we can to extend Frontside Admin to work with other extensions like blog, galleries, and more. If you have a module that you would like to jump-edit from catalog side, let us know. We may request the mod files (so we can build it) so please make sure your dev is cool with that.


Will This Work With My Theme?
Yes. We used Bootstrap, Fontawesome, Standard, & bogon classes to skin stuff. As long as your theme includes the snippet <?php echo $footer; ?> in all the common places, as well as a class .bookmark for its bookmarks, it will work. Contact us if your theme doesn't support and we may include classing.


Demo Site: Admin | Catalog

Username & Pass is "demo". First log in as "demo", then open the demo store itself. Visit a page and look for the "edit" link near the breadcrumbs (on the right side). Clicking an edit link will drop you into the admin side for that area.
