This extension enables the applications of filters to categories as well not just products.

Opencart by default will list all categories and only apply configured filters to the products shown for each category.

With this modification Opencart can also apply the filters to the displayed categories.

This has proved necessary as well as nice and more user intuitive in a number of categorization scenarios. Check the two screenshots for one of its applications.
