1. Find in file index.php this line
$registry->set('currency', new Currency($registry));
2. Add below:
// Nikita Spivak MOD FOR DEFAULT CURRENCY SET
$registry->get('currency')->set($config->get('config_frontend_currency'));
3. Go to OpenCart shop settings and set front-end currency
