The extension gives you the opportunity to create categories, that are only accessible by certain customer groups.

After the categories are hidden, you can set up a custom restriction message, that will be visible if the user doesn't have rights to access the page. If you want to make things simpler - just turn off the message, so that when a customer without rights tries to access a protected category, he will be just redirected to the home page.

The module can protect categories with or without hiding the links to them from the header menu and the category module.

Pay attention, that if a category is set to protected, the products from this category will not be visible as well.

The extension is easy to install, there are no core file modifications.
