Manufacturer Module (Brand Slider/Select List)


Admin Settings
Configure settings by editing the module in Extensions -> Modules -> Manufacturers.
Animation Speed (milliseconds) - Set the transition speed of the manufacturer/brand images.
Width (pixels) - Set the width of manufacturer/brand images.
Height (pixels) - Set the width of manufacturer/brand images.
Image Slider Status - Turns the image slider on/off.
Randomize Images - Randomly generates a new image order each change of page.
Dropdown Status - Turns the dropdown select box on/off.

Features:
Makes use of SEO urls.
Ability to control size, speed, order from admin.
Turn slider or list on/off.
Randomize image order.
Hides manufacturers from the slider if there's no image but still visible in select list.
Responsive.
Uses default oc imagetools to resize/cache images.

Installation, upload via the extension installer in your administration section, alternatively unzip the upload folder to the root directory of your store.

Then install the module in your administration (Extensions -> Modules -> Manufacturers), configure the options (edit) and finally add the module to a layout (Design -> Layouts).

Future release will include
Option to use an alternative image for each manufacturer.
Option to exclude manufacturers.
Option to change slider to carousel.
Option to show product count for each manufacturer.
Ability to modify style from admin.
Ability to create instances of the module.

** Brunte27: added -wlang.ocmod.zip files. These change the '--- Select Manufacturer ---' text to use the language system, I've included English/French. The text can be changed by editing the relevant language file (/catalog/language/*name*/module/manufacturers.php). The next release will also have a box to create custom text in the module admin.
