For those working with affiliate programs or dropshiping this extension is very important.

Hi, i am interested to buy and want to know more before making a decision. Is it compatible with OC 3.0.3.2 with Journal 3?
and is it possible to create a category when creating a product if the category doesn’t exist before the import?
Besides, Is it possible to add images through this extension? If yes, how will it be done?

Hi, Yes it is fully compatible with OC 3.0.3.2 and Journal 3.
Yes the module can automatically create category if it does not exists yet.
If you have some URLs to your images in your import file then the module will download them to add to your products.

thank you for your reply. I have tried the admin demo and it appears to be a bit complicated for me to use as I have no IT knowledge, there are many fields that I have to choose an option but I don't really know what the fields and the options mean. Will there be any video tutorials/user guide? and will there be any screenshots to see how the files should look like before/after the import/export to follow?

In fact the module is very simple to use, basically it works this way:
- load the file you want to import in step 1.
- in step 2 there is some import settings but you can let them as they are by default, it is fine for basic import (for example here there is a setting for enabling or disabling the auto-creation of categories, it is enabled by default).
- Then in step 3 it is where you will have to assign the data from your import file to match the opencart product data, here you just have to navigate through the tabs and choose which data to import (product name, model, quantity, etc), it is not mandatory to fill all field, just fill the ones you need.
- Now you're ready, process to step 4 to check if all is correct, and then you can go to step 5 to do the real import.
We will make a video tutorial soon, meanwhile you can contact us if you have any doubt.

I want to buy. But I have a few questions.
For example, we imported products.
Can we get only some features (such as price or quantity) in product updates later? Because pictures, product descriptions, etc. We do not want our seo works like xml service update to be lost in these updates.
If a new product has been added, of course this product should be added. They get automatic after the first installation?

Yes this is possible, you can create an import profile where you chose just to update specific fields, the "product quick update" import mode is specifically made for that, nothing will be changed in product except what you want to change (price, quantity, etc).

You mean to create category? yes this is possible, when you import a product the category can be automatically created too so you import all in 1 time.

For example if you have one opencart system like this:
Main store + substore 1 + substore 2 + substore 3
This is only one opencart system with multistore, only one license necessary for that, but if you have another system like that, so:
Main store A + substore a1 + substore a2 + substore a3
Main store B + substore b1 + substore b2 + substore b3
In this case 2 licenses are necessary.

What kind of custom fields is it supporting? Is it extra fields in product table or also custom tables supported? Need to understand how it works.

The module is capable to handle custom fields in 2 ways:
1. The custom fields are in table, E.G. for product it can be oc_product or oc_product_description, if you need to update some field here can be done easily
2. The module just send the data and will use default opencart function to edit the product, in this case if you have a module that handle some custom fields, even if they have to go in another table it will work too, in this case you will have to name the custom field just like the html input field is named in your normal product edit, this mode emulates product insertion just like if it were from your real edit page.

For export it is different, but generally all custom data is exported directly because the module gets the product data from the default opencart function, which is where generally the modules are adding their extra data.

You should use Update - Preserve mode. In this case only import fields will be updated in product settings.

First click on "Refresh category list", then you will see at left the list of categories in your import file, and in right you will have to choose the categories in your opencart, so the import category will be included in right category.

Hi, I had not updated demo, that's ok now so you can check, it works just like for products, actually it is not possible to save export profile, I'm working on that, it will be ready in further update, but you can do something that is similar in cron mode, for example in cron you can create a command and set in parameter which fields you want to export.

Yes this is possible, if you use the "Update - preserve" mode you can choose to update only the categories on your products.
