Hello,

i need to know:

1) is it possible to export/import product options prefix_price ?
see: https://image.ibb.co/hrp7Nc/prefix.png

2) is it possible to import/export customers Custom Fields?

3) I see in your demo customer email and password are encrypted, can i export/import in plain text?
see: https://image.ibb.co/cQ6bFx/pass.png

Thanx in advance

Hi,
1) Yes, actually the module automatically compute the prefix depending of price value, if price is negative then it put negative prefix else positive, I see on your screenshot that you have % prefix which is not in default opencart, so it may not handle that correctly, anyway I can add in option import a field force the prefix so you will be able to also import this % prefix.

2) Yes, if you have customer custom fields they will appear automatically in export and when importing you will have a field for each of your custom fields too.

3) This is only for demo, when you do real export you will have real values in your database.

Presale question:

1. Using OC 2.1.0.2, need to import categories / manufacturers / products , and later update them every 3 hours with a cron job. The supplier has 6000 products in XML, 4-5 level subcategories. While using the demo site, the file was too big to test (approx. 12mb), so I cannot verify compatibility with the suppliers XML. Can I send you the supplier's XML file for compatibility testing?

2. Do you provide installation service with a fee?

Thank you so much.

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

1. Yes please send the file to support email we will check it. The module supports unlimited size in case of direct upload, and for import from url it depends on your server limitations, so you can increase your server limitations to make it work fine for url import.

2. Yes free install :)

7) Is it possible to use URL for product image path and for additional images? And can we save the images to our image folder with their own names?
8 ) Same question in 7) for manufacturer's logo.
Now, I realized that I asked too many questions. Sorry about that.
Thank you for your answers.
Kind Regards

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

7. Yes, there is a lot of options to handle images, including using same structure than in URL, or not, or put all that into a specific folder.
8. Manufacturer logo will use same options as when importing products.
No problem, import modules are quite complex it's normal to have a lot of questions, if you have any other don't hesitate to ask.
If there is something that is not yet possible in the module that you may need we will consider to add such features.

Hi. i have some presale questions:
1) I have over 200 000 products which are weekly updated. Can I import/export/update (shortly i/e/u) all of them in one step without any problem occur?
2) I have to use only XML for import. in this case, can I use all of the features/options of this module?
3) Can we export products by filtering by SKU or by my custom field?
4) is it possible to import from multiple XML files? or do we have to create a huge single XML file including also manufacturers table, categories table, product_specials table? and otherhand, if we want to (i/e/u) all these tables, can we use a single XML file as well?
5) I have some custom fields on oc_products and oc_product_specials table. Can I (i/e/u) them?
6) I have also a different table ( let's say oc_authors) . Can I (i/e/u) some fields of this table? if not, is the existence of this table a problem?

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

Hi!
1. Yes this extension is made to handle without issues an unlimited number of products.
2. All parameters and functions are working exactly the same for xml and csv, there is just some extra things for XML to be able to handle some complex formating that may occurs sometimes
3. Filter export by sku or custom field is not possible for now, I can do something about that
4. There is auto-create features when importing product, so if your product have category, special price, manufacturer etc, it will automatically add them if they don't exists so there is no need to extra import files, the same for export all the necessary information will be into the export product file so no need to export each one.
5. custom fields in oc_product can be easily handled by the module, in oc_product_special table it would require some specific modification.
6. The existence of any table or extra field is not a problem, but to import to these tables it may also require specific addon in the module

hi
is there any way to give my customer online xml link from my website to enable him to import my product?
2- is it possible to import seo words to my products after import the products?

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

1) This is not possible with this module, you can use this one for that: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=31346
2) Yes, you can just make an import to update only the seo keyword.

austurki@gmail.com

austurki@gmail.com 7 years ago

do you mean i just have to creat excel file with 2 coulumn contain sku and seo?

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

Yes you can do that, or if you have a file with more fields you can just select the sku as identifier and seo for the keyword.

I have two shops in different domains.
Can i use this module to transfer some of my products to other shop (in other domain) by automatickly everyday?
I think this should do export file everyday, can you help me or is this impossible for you?
How much cost customisation?

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

Yes, this could be done using cron jobs, no need to customization the module is able to do that directly for import, actually the module does not handle cron export, I will work on that on a further version but a good solution for you would be to use this module in combination with Universal Data Feed: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=31346
This one is able to do cron export and to save the file on remote FTP.

Then it will be quite easy to do that, for example you can parameter the modules like this:
- Configure your product export in Universal Data Feed, with uploading your file on your target FTP
- Configure your product import in Universal Import/Export, using the path to your exported file on server
- Set cron job to run export for example each day at 01:00 am
- Set cron job to run import each day at 01:30 am

Hi there,

you product seems to be very interesting. I've got a couple of questions, also from a perspective of a developer, who is taking care of its own shop:
1. What happens, if I take a special or discount column with the suggested format (xx:xx|xx:xx) and multiply this field via the "Extra functions" in Step 3 Import?
2. How difficult would it be to adapt/change your extension for extra functionalities. In specific, I was thinking about extending the image functionality to add images to options (-> adding urls to a specific table in the db ).

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

Hey,
1. This format cannot be multiplied, if you have the direct price it would be better to use it to multiply it, then if you have other fields for extra info about the special price then you can combine them with extra functions to get it recognized.

2. The module is quite easy to adapt if necessary, I do the best to make possible to do everything from the module options, in your case if you have already your opencart product model modified to handle the image options then you may be able to not even have to change any code in the module to get it work, it could be handled by using the Extra functions > Custom fields, and if not working you can still edit the code, we will help you to get it work in any case.

Hello
If i have stock with D for yes is in stock and N for no, it is'n in stok but with no number of product stock how i will do the setings for that. It's ok to set default number 3 for D but how i will set the module to know the diference between d and N?

GeekoDev

GeekoDev 7 years ago

Hi, you can use a custom function in step 3 to change the value of your stock field, in your case you just have to set up 2 replace functions on your stock field:
- replace 'D' by '3'
- replace 'N' by '0'
