Hello there and thanks for reaching out. Actually the latest stable OpenCart release is 3.0.3.x. The 3.1 is a beta version released back in July 27, 2017 Here is where you can check that yourself - https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=cms/download/history Once there is a final release we will release a compatible version too.

I'm sure when I first installed SEO Backpack (2.8.2 I think on OC2.2.0) I was able to generate links like...
mysite.com/category/sub-cat/product-name
But there no longer appears to be a short code [category] for products . Am I imagining things or is there still a way to do this?

In order for you to have the URLs set as in your example you will need to set this option SEOBackpack > URLs & Linking > Advanced Settings > Unify URLs for products & categories: to "NO" Please check this, and if you still experience any issues, report this to our support team at: https://isenselabs.com/tickets/open :)

Ahh yes, I see, thank you.
But this means I have duplicate content. "mydomain.com/category-name/product-name" and "mydomain.com/product-name" are actually the same page.
If I Unify URL's via the setting you mention above then I only have "mydomain.com/product-name". Is there any way to only have "mydomain.com/category-name/product-name"??

I don't think that this is possible, as for example if you access the respective product from the Home Page it will show with this URL mydomain.com/category-name/product-name which will be kind of confusing. This is actually a default OpenCart behavior.

Hello. I looked at your demo, but I didn't find any feature related to category pagination. I mean the possibility to set metarobots (noindex, follow) for paginated pages, set canonical to first page or current page, custom change the title and metadescription by adding page number.
Do you have any intention regarding implementing such features?

Hello there and thanks for reaching out. On your first point: "The possibility to set metarobots (noindex, follow) for paginated pages" is something that is currently not present in the features of the SEO Backpack module. I have added it to the idea board of the modules, so we could consider it for the next releases of the module. On this point: "set canonical to first page or current page" - this happens by default in the categories. Here are some example form the demo:

On this point: "custom change the title and metadescription by adding page number. " - You can currently set title and meta description for the categories through the Advanced Editor tab in the module, however we don't have the option to add a page number with this. I have also added this as an idea proposal for the next versions.

I'm looking for a seo module. the module I'm looking for the end of my web site address, the language tag to be brought. for example. xxx.com/de or xxx.com/en. my website, retwisst.com has two languages in german and english. If the site is german all links, retwisst.com/de should be in the form, if you want to be in English retwisst.com/en. right now, https://retwisst.com/yarn has a link this way. but I want this link to be https://retwisst.com/en/yarn and the german link should be https://retwisst.com/de/garn. how can I do that? can you help me.

You will be able to find it in the admin of the module in the URLs & Linking Tab and under Advanced Settings. The option you are looking for is called Add language folder prefixes to the URLs. Hello there, actually the latest OpenCart 3.0.3.1 release includes mainly payment module updates and bug fixes. No new functionalities present in it. In other words all that is compatible with 3.0.2.0 should work with 3.0.3.1 without any issues. In your particular case, please keep in mind that we have tested our SEO Backpack module and it works without any problems with the latest OpenCart 3.0.3.1. This is also pointed out at the very beginning of this page - https://www.screencast.com/t/1gPpxZU7 If you download the latest SEO version you will be good to go. Please also note that we will be releasing a new version for this extension in the next few days, so stay tuned.

Can this do the following:
- Meta Title and Description Duplicate fix (for pages 2, 3, 4, 5 etc on pages with more then 25 products listed)?
- Canonical Fix / Generation
- Rich Snippet management (allows you to edit / select what is shown including image and information on google)
- Breadcrumb setup / management (allows you to select what ones appear)

this one was looking nice, but again as with your SEO pack pro, there are issues with the redirect redirects. in this instance they are returning a 302 instead of a 301. This means the indexed URL remains in the search engines.
Please sort your redirects out, and i'll purchase the module. Until then, i'll keep looking.

I recommend a series of adjustments that I consider quite fundamental:
1) insertions h1 and h2 also for the categories the brands and the information pages
2) in the automatic generation in the meta description the "product category" variable is missing for the products. You have to expand the variables
3) addition and insertion description in the brands
4) Image Alt generator
5) Related Products Generator
6) SEO Pagination not present
7) automatic generation for standard opencart pages without having to do them manually
I hope to implement all these shortcomings soon

Looking at the demo and reading the above. I cant see if it will do canonical links for the Contact, brands, specials, My account, Order history, wish list, newsletter, login etc.
I have already got all my products, categories, manufacturers and information pages done but want the rest.

Hello there and thanks for reaching out. The module does not have the ability to do canonical links for the Contact, brands and specials pages at the moment. Please keep in mind that there is no need for doing canonical links on the following pages: My account, Order history, wish list, newsletter as these pages don't have duplicates and they are only visible for registered users . In other words these pages are not being seen from the search engines.
