The SEO URls will be unique for reach product (different). The meta keywords and meta description will be created on the basis of the product description field. This means that if you have two products with the same descriptions, the meta keywords and meta descriptions would also be identical.

So far we have had only issues with the Pavo theme, which brings its own SEO understanding and we have to fix the module to be compatible with it. Still, we already have a compatibility fix. IF R.Gen has something similar and we need to fix it we would be happy to fix it for you.

Yes, the module will fix this. We have developed the feature on our test environment and are testing it now. Since we are adding a few more features that require more extensive testing we will try to release it by the end of this week.

We will be using the OpenCart events to create new info when you are filling in, so no need for a CRON. Still in this way we will be able to always keep your info up to date. We will be adding this feature really soon.

1) No need to install the module twice.
2) There will be no duplicate content

3. auto-redirect to right url. What do you mean?

Hi and thanks for your interest in SEO Backpack. On your questions:

1. Actually this is already present in the module. If you go to a certain product via the following category you would see the full path. Whereas if you access the product from any of the widgets on the home page, the link path would be changed accordingly.

2. Currently this is not possible out of the box. We can offer this as a customization. We would need to modify your search functionality (so the URLs can contain the product/categories information in the results).

I (politly) second that. There should be an option to have only one url for the users, not only canoncial tag. So products have one short url without any categories attached.

Our current SEO module does that and so Google indexed them like this. In addition, we are having several categories for one product, hence several category urls for one product. Would be easier for the user to have one simple method to remember the url. And easier for us to migrate to your extension.

Google's search engine is smart enough to use the canonical tag in order to know which page is the original one. By default this is a feature that OpenCart has implemented in order to ensure that breadcrumb is taken correctly. However, we can add a setting in the module as per your request in one of the following versions.

I am less worried about Google (though, you never know), but about my existing links. We are having many products, which are listed in different categories.

For our marketing campaigns, we are using only the links for products without categories, i.e. domain.com/productA instead of domain.com/cat1/productA. Redoing those links would be a pain plus it makes it easier for us to link to products without taking into account categories.

Hope, that feature makes it to the next release, which I am looking forward to.
