Many customers don't even pay attention to the newsletter text/box, so they don't bother to click on it to subscribe to your newsletter list. This extension makes the newsletter checkbox checked by default on the Quick Checkout page on the Journal2 theme and also on the register form. This helps you to easily get more subscribers to your newsletter list, which you can then easily convert to sales with a good newsletter strategy.
With Journal v. 2.13 and above, you can also collect the e-mails of the non-registered customers (those that use Guest Checkout) too.
