Hi,

I am use opencart old version (1.5.6.4) with author module 1.5, can i download latest version of author module?

Hi, when I install the module on the last update (Version 2.0.3.1), the Author menu doesn't show in the Catalog section in the Admin menu, and also this error comes up when I try to edit a product:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ModelCatalogProduct::getProductAuthors() in homedir/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-admin_controller_catalog_product.php on line 1366

Can this be fixed, or is it something that you have to change, and I should wait for the next version, compatible with OC 2.0.3.1?

@MayaS: Thanks for interest with my module. For autocomplete author name. i will considered to add feature for next release.

Wonderful extension, congratulations! I have tested it in your demo.
What I didn't see is Search autocomplete for the Author name. Is it possible to be made? Thanks :)

Greetings,

I got a strange bug with the version 2.0v3.0.2. When I go in home>modules>authors, I can't set the extension as "enabled" because "module name" stays empty. And when I type something in the field "module name", I obtain two different extensions in the list : "authors" and "authors > [name I typed]" : none of them are functionnal (when I add an author, he disappear after reloading the page).

@zlato: Sorry, i don't have experience with wordpress and not familiar with table database of wordpress. You may hire other developer for this.

@ankidod: Sorry, no way to fit this module to journal theme. If you want to show detail book on product page, yes i can help you. But if you want to show author name on other page (category,manufacturer,special and search), sorry i can't help you.

@ankidod: Hi, thanks for interest with my module.
Based my experience there are problem when using super filter. Even i am add code for page (category.tpl,manufacturer_info.tpl,special.tpl,search.tpl), author name will disappear when you try use filter.
Also, author name will disappear when change count product display, example from 15 to 30.

So, based my experience i am not suggest you to use my module with journal theme, except developer theme journal have commitment to support you,

@groovygiraffe: for export/import you must contact developer export/import because that is not my product and i know how to it work. I am also sent code to create table for author module to your email please check it.

For journal theme, yes i will help you to fit it.

Hi, I'm interested in your module, just a few questions first.

Currently I use import/export extension to upload my data, can you help to make your fields imported/exported using my extension so that I can upload together with the rest of the data?

Next, I've a customised theme (Journal), will you be able to help with the modification to fit into the module?

To change brand to publisher that is very easy, i am sure you can do it. For example, for product page,
open file product.php in catalog/language/your_language/product/product.php
Find text 'Brand' and change to 'Publisher'

To item condition. you can use extension from other developer.

@nosecret: Thanks. I tell you before for change the Brand name into the Publisher.
For book publisher called only "publisher" not Brand name.
Also need add book condition as New, Use like New. etc. Like Amazon book product display page.
You need to add only Condition its very much important for selling the book.
