nikosv : recently, i am add code search for author on demo version. Just try type name author, and you will get product. If are agree like that, after purchase my module, i will send code to search.

To assign author attribute, just type initial character of author attribute on admin -> catalog -> product -> tab bookstrore.
That is using autocomplete like you insert related product.

it would be nice if your module could also alert the default opencart search mechanism so that it would be possible to search by author name.

It looks like i will have to implement this myself ;-)

@nikosv: The screenshot 2 is made before opencart 1,5.4 released. I make it by alter table product
ADD `isbn` VARCHAR( 64 ) CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_bin NOT NULL AFTER `sku` ,
For opencart 1.5.4 and up i am not add field isbn again. So if you can't save 17 a characters ISBN, just change length varchar(13) to varchar(32) or higher until you can save.

In screenshot 2, it looks like you save a 17 characters ISBN (including hyphens). However this is not possible in opencart as the isbn is a varchar(13).

How do you deal with this issue?
Maybe the hyphenation should be php-based.

Hi,
The module work very well on default theme, but I tried with other theme and it's fail. Do you have a manual or documentation for do this? I copy the files for a new theme directory but nothing shows in product info.

Could you help me?
for your info , I use theme from themeglobal.com (market theme) and opencart version 1.5.5.1.

@zlato: when you get error like that? do you get error after installation new module/extension? or do you get error after change setting on admin store? by the way i am already check my code, and every thing is ok.

HI,
i have problem with my authors in admin area. The authors do not appears ( total of 669 (28 Pages))
on the live site are listet previously added to the books.
Now I can not connect authors with books when I add this.
What do we have a panic :).

@cyclopse: Hi, thanks for interest with my module.
For third party theme, i will help you to change my code in order to look god with your theme. Usually only change file tpl (module/author.tpl and product/author.tpl).
Yes, you are right. This module is also have custom filed for bookstore like book language, edition,etc and the custom field will displayed on product page.

Hello developer i want to know that can we use this plugin on any theme and what are the benefit of using this plugin will it allow us to add the no. of pages and other attribute too and the author also just beside of price instead of showing in the specification tab ......
