Shared hosting
The extension has been tested on a shared hosting server and is able to export and import 500,000 products, each with 3 product options (i.e. total 1.5 million product options), without issues. You should nevertheless check the resource usage policy enforced by your shared hosting provider if you have lots of data to export or import. Some providers are more restrictive than others when it comes to utilising server resources on their shared servers. You can also refer to the resource limits imposed on our test server in the documentation.

Server requirements
- Linux operating system (other POSIX systems should work as well)
- bash shell and nohup command available on system
- PHP version 5.4.0 or higher with PHP-CLI enabled
- PHP extension php_xmlreader enabled
- PHP function exec enabled

These requirements are necessary for performing exports and imports in the background. While most Linux servers should be able to satisfy these requirements, note that if you are on shared hosting, your host could have disabled the exec function. Please check with them and ask them (nicely) if they could configure the server for you.
