This has to be the worst supported extension on opencart. All this Julia does is come here and tell people to contact support, and then when you do it takes forever to resolve issues. 5 DAYS I've been trying to resolve an issue with paypal with this onboarding crap. And you can't even speak directly with their tech department. You'd think paypal would 1/ have enough sense to have a dedicated coder or two to deal with these issues directly, and 2/ at least better and dedicated onboarding instructions with opencart on getting things up and running. I can't even be bothered with this crap, moving on from paypal. The absolute WORST.

I'm using OpenCart 3.0.2.0. PayPal and Card buttons are not being displayed in the checkout page. The GET request is giving an error 400 (bad request). On investigation, this is because the 'currency' value is not being sent in the query string as follows..

https://www.paypal.com/sdk/js?components=buttons,hosted-fields,messages&client-id=xxxxx&merchant-id=xxxxx&currency=&intent= net::ERR_ABORTED 400

Notice the 'currency=' is blank. If I add this and do a request using Postman, the request returns correctly. I've set the currency in the extension settings.

What am I missing? Why is the currency not being added?

HI, does not work on 3.0.3.8. When I click Connect With Paypal, it redirects to normal login page and just display normal Paypal homepage. Please help

Hi it would be much handier to include the refund button in the admin order pages as with PayPal Express, makes for a more seamless process, please can this be implemented.

Its not working in opencart 3.0.3.7. when clicking on connect with paypal popup coming and displays thanks it connected page but I don't have any info about to connect my paypal account to my site. After when enabling the gateway it shows, Undefined index: message in /var/www/stage_opencart/upload/admin/controller/extension/payment/paypal.php on line 443Notice: Undefined index: message in /var/www/stage_opencart/upload/admin/controller/extension/payment/paypal.php on line 446. Please help me over this problem.

hi, installed module in 3.0.3.7 with journal 3.
first, i don't see any banner "Pay in 3" in product page, or cart page, or checkout page. Anyway, when i choose paypal as method payment, the paypal popup show-up with only PayPal button and not the "Pay in 3" button.
My paypal business account is ok and i connected the API properly.
If i force the Enable PayLater in the checkout, the "Pay in 3" button show-up, but when i try to to the payment, paypal give the error message (I'm sorry, the Pay in 3 in not available for this purchase). So, there is any configuration i need setup in mya paypal business account? I guess not, but nay help would be appreciated. Thx. Alessandro

I installed and configured the extension in Sandbox and when I try to make an order I receive these errors in both shopping cart and checkout.
Uncaught Error: Expected an order id to be passed at https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/smart/buttons?

Received this from PayPal tech support:
ROOT CAUSE SUMMARY
Both the logs and screenshots and behavior agreed that the issue was caused by bad return URL.
HOW TO FIX

The return URL was configured in the prefill request, and specifically this part:
"partner_config_override": {
"partner_logo_url": "***************************",
"return_url": "*********************"
},
It should be
"https://www.xxxxx.com/shop/adminxxx/index.php?route=extension/paypal/payment/paypal"
instead of
"https://www.xxxxx.com/shop/adminxxx/index.php?route=extension/paypal/payment/paypal&user_token=b00d07057003a77da19d92ddadbe3f1d"
