Is anyone actually still maintaining this payment extension?
It currently has a number of serious bugs and is not suitable for normal OpenCart user unless they have the skills to apply needed bugfixes.

We prefer the "Express Checkout" for OC 3.x it work better, with no problems. This module need more testing and work.

As usual nothing works... Installed the latest 4.0.0.0 and that killed my site.
Trying to get setup again from the beginning and this module just doesn't install.

Module gives customers an error with long product names, so the payment fails. Is there a php code I could use in the controller to truncate the product name to, say, 125 characters before the info is sent to Paypal (something like substr($result['name'], 0, 100)) ? Where should I paste/change the code?

I have it working -mostly- with this combo. You need to turn on the 'Two Step Payments' option in Journal>Skin>[Your Skin]>Checkout>Advanced. However it doesn't work well with bank verification pop-ups.

My PayPal buttons always appear in English (eg. "Pay with Paypal"). How can I change that those buttons appear in my local language (German)?

In the USA, PayPal sales agents are pushing this solution by actively calling site owners. I personally got multiple calls from PayPal for different accounts and when I finally agreed to do this upgrade I was sorely disappointed.
summary: v 3.0.3.8
Install and connect successful despite an error message "you are not allowed to perform this operation"
CC payment 3D ON, failed after successful code entry on the popup screen
CC payment 3D OFF, failed with "The request was refused" message.
Paying with PP account successful. BUT...
We are using Settlement Method "Authorization".. but the order admin area has no facility to capture, partially capture, or void.
A major turnoff, and a downgrade from functionality in the good old "Express Checkout"
Never had issues with OC payment system. This is a first. Hope for a fix this soon. AND alert PP that they should stop contacting Opencart site owners.

problems here too, installed with a PP sales person and an engineer on the phone. (OC 3.0.2.0. Extension V1.5 (Journal 2 theme, one page checkout)
Connecting to PayPal: OK
Trying to pay with a CC - fail with "Unable to create Paypal session ... "A match of the Shipping Address City, State, and Postal Code failed.","L_SEVERITYCODE0":"Error"}
Pay with PayPal buttons not visible on the checkout page. and the regular payment button is not working.
How can we get some support?
