The Product Subtitle Extension

Enhance the clarity and presentation of your product listings with the Product Subtitle Extension for OpenCart. This extension provides the ability to add a concise subtitle to any product, allowing you to highlight key details, taglines, or additional context that elevates the customer experience.

Installation is straightforward and requires no advanced technical knowledge. Simply upload the extension through the OpenCart installer and activate it—no complex setup or configuration required.

The extension is built using OpenCart Events and OCMOD to ensure smooth integration and reliable performance. While familiarity with these systems is not necessary, they work behind the scenes to ensure the subtitle functionality is seamlessly applied across your store.

A version for OpenCart 4 is currently in development. Support for older versions may be available upon request.

Administrative Control Features

The extension includes a dedicated admin module that gives you full control over how subtitles appear throughout your storefront. From the admin panel, you can enable or disable subtitles on the following pages:

• Product page
  
• Category page
  
• Search results page
  
• Specials page
  
• Modules

Additionally, the admin settings allow you to customize the subtitle’s visual appearance, including:

• Font style
  
• Font size
  
• Font color

These options ensure that subtitles can be tailored to match your store’s branding and design preferences.

Instructions

1. Upload the extension through the OpenCart installer.
2. Locate and activate the Subtitle Module in the module list.
3. Refresh modifications.
4. A new subtitle field will now appear in the product add/edit form.

You are now ready to enhance your product listings with clear, customizable subtitles.

Supports Journal 3 on OC3 for the product, category, search and special pages. Does not support Journal specific modules (only Opencart default Modules: latest, bestseller, special and featured).
