• If coupon is valid for "AAA, BBB, CCC" customers then it will apply only those customers and customer must be login to use coupon
• Admin > marketing > coupon > add/edit form > coupon autocomplete box is appear, where you can select customer, if you leave empty then coupon is valid for all customers
