In Opencart you can open the same subcategory with different URL addresses like so:

http://site.com/parentcategory/subcategory1/subcategory2/subcategory3
http://site.com/subcategory3

The canonical tag doesn't help the search engines because it is the same as the above URLs and this leads to duplicate content.

This plugin allows you to remove all parent categories from the URL to avoid duplication:

For example:
- Before the plugin the URLs will be http://site.com/parentcategory/subcategory1/subcategory2/subcategory3 and http://site.com/subcategory3
- After the plugin the URL will be only http://site.com/subcategory3

The modification is made with the built in extension installer and doesn't require vqmod or coding skills.
It was tested on opencart 1.5.x to 2.1.x and it works.
After version 2.1.0.2 and before 1.5.0 the modified file is located elsewhere and this mod will not work.
