Opencart Marketplace Split Order : Split Order is a Marketplace add-on for Opencart store which splits an order into separate order IDs for different sellers products. After adding products from different sellers in the shopping cart, the customers can select their preferred shipping and payment methods.

Once completing the checkout process, different orders IDs will be created automatically. The customers can view separate order IDs from their Order History section. The order will be divided into distinct order IDs according to the number of sellers in the shopping cart. Split Order helps in better management of the orders for both sellers and the customers.

Opencart Marketplace Split Order module is an add-on of the Opencart Marketplace Module. To use this module you must have installed Marketplace Module.

Note:

1. This module supports all templates and themes including the Journal theme.

2. Opencart Marketplace Split Order supports the Multi-Store feature of default Opencart.










Use Case:

As business entrepreneurs, we expect that the customers that are visiting our online stores would have multiple options/ choices in their minds for the products they wish to buy. This even depicts that the products the customer's purchase may belong to more than one seller.

If we access this situation, the customers might not be able to add products of different sellers in the cart. Well, that’s not true as the OpenCart’s Marketplace Split Order will sort this out for our customers. This module allows the customers to add products of multiple sellers in the cart without any fuss.

Moreover, it generates separate order Ids for each order which helps customers manage and track each order individually.

Frontend Workflow



Once the admin enables the module, the customers can add different sellers’ products to their shopping carts.
Further, the customers can proceed towards the checkout process for selecting the preferred shipping and payment methods.



The selected shipping method will be applicable for products of all the sellers present in the shopping cart.



Also, the payment method chosen will be the same for products of different sellers added in the cart.



At the Confirm Order step, the customers will see the total cost of all the products with shipping charges calculated accordingly. To place this order click on the Confirm button as shown below.



The confirmation message will appear once the order has been confirmed successfully.



Order History

The customers can view the split order information simply under My Account > Order History. Each seller will possess a separate Order ID. The customers can view more information about each split order created.
