Since the beginning of the year (2018) spam robots register new users in OpenCart online shops. These users have names like "James Kelvin" or "Alex Sorba". Spam robots fill out both the form for creating a new account and the form for creating a new affiliate account.

To prevent this, the honeypot method is used with this OCMOD. A hidden input field is integrated into the form. For ordinary users, this field is not visible. However, robots usually fill in ALL fields of a form. This recognizes the OpenCart Shop and returns a corresponding error message.

This OCMOD protects the form for creating a new customer account, the form for creating a new affiliate account and the contact form. If any other forms are involved in your case, please let me know. I then adjust the OCMOD accordingly.
