OpenCart Variable Product-With the help of Opencart Product Variable, the admin can create the multiple variants of a product like color, size, etc. Using this module, the admin can facilitate the customers with various choices of the product variants.

The admin can set the different prices and images for each product variant. Thus the user will be charged according to the product variant, which is selected on the product page.

Note - Currently, this module supports only two types of options- Radio and Select.








Use case:

Consider you have an Opencart store and wants to facilitate your customers with the choices of multiple variants of a single product. Then Opencart Variable Product module is for you.

Using this module, the admin can create multiple variants of a product and also set the different prices and images for each option. It will provide the extra option to the customer to select the different variants of a product accordingly.

Opencart Variable Product Features -

• Enable/Disable Option tab for the products.
  
• Enable/Disable the visibility of the Product variations in the front end.
  
• SKU for the product variation is created either automatically or manually.
  
• Allocate the Reward points for each variation.
  
• Admin may manage each product variation separately.
  
• Admin may add many product variations and combinations for a single product.
  
• Product variation with quantity set as ‘zero’ is disabled in the front end.
  
• Customers can view and choose customized Product Variations on the product details page.
  
• Customers can buy multiple variations of a single product at the same time.
  
• “Product not available!” error shall display if a customer adds an out of stock variation to the cart.
  
• The price range is tabulated as per the minimum and maximum price of the product variation.
  
• The admin can add multiple images for variations.
  

Work Flow



After the successful installation of the module, the admin can manage the module from the admin panel easily.
The admin can manage the product variations accordingly. The admin can create custom options for product variants.
Currently, this module supports only two types of options- Radio and Select.



After creating the option, the admin can enter the values of the created option. The admin can also set the image for the option value (works only with radio option) and set the sorting order of the options.

Now, the admin can select the product for which the admin wants to create the variation of the product or also can recreate the variation of a product.



After selecting the product the admin can click on the variation tab and click on the Add Variation button. The admin can select the variant and click on the create variation as shown in the image below -



Variation of the products will be created according to the selected variation and option as shown in the image below

• The admin can add the image for the particular product variant. These images will be shown to the customers according to the variant when the product variant will be added to the cart.
  
  
• Images of the product variant can also be shown to the customers when the admin enables the visibility of the product variant. The customer can see the image of that product variant when the customer will search for that specific product variant using the product SKU.
  

Once the variations are created and saved by the admin, the product variations will be automatically added to the Product List.


Customer End

The customer can search for the required product from the search tab. The product searched by the customer will be visible on the front-end along with its variations (if product variants are enabled to display at the front-end by the admin).


Now the customer can visit the product page and select the product variant of choice and add the product to the cart. The selected variant of the product will be shown to the customer from the cart along with the variant image and price.



Out of stock product will show the error message to the customers, as shown in the image below.



The admin can decide the reward points for each variant of the products. The reward points will be applied to the product variant. The customer can also view these reward points.



The customer can also view the history of the order along with the ordered product variant as shown in the image below-
