Standard Google Sitemap module supplied with Opencart is unable to handle large amount of data in stores and also it does not split the sitemap to multiple files as it is required by Google/Yahoo (50000 URLs per file). The sitemap limits affect stores having more than 15000-20000 products .

The extension allows to generate a sitemap with any number of products. The sitemap is split to multiple files in order to reach Sitemap file limits defined by Google. File generation sets up as an automatic task with a free "Task Scheduler Lite" extension.
