OpenCart Checkout Custom Fields module allows the store owner to create custom fields for the checkout page. These custom fields can be added to the custom groups.
The custom fields can be used to gather additional information from the customer at the time of checkout.
The custom fields can be added to the desired custom group, which can be added to the following sections like Payment method, shipping method, payment details(billing details), shipping details(delivery details).
These additional fields can be paid fields, and the additional amount is added in the order total.
In the world of e-commerce, data is everything, and with the help of this module, the store owner can gather more information from the customer during the checkout process.
Additional information can be helpful in times of adding a new product to the website or getting to know how the current potential customers are willing to put their money.

The admin can also create custom fields without zero price rates.
The admin can choose to set the field as required or not.
After the successful installation, the admin can configure the module as shown in the image below.
Custom fields can be created on the admin end that the store owner wants to add on the checkout. The admin needs to add the following fields to add the custom field as shown in the image below.

The admin can create custom groups and can assign the custom fields to them. The admin needs to add the following fields to add the custom group as shown in the image below.
Note: The admin can not assign a single custom field to more than one custom group.
After placing the order, the admin will be able to view the custom fields in the order history section as shown in the image below.
The custom fields will also be displayed in the invoice as well as shown in the image below.
The customer can view the various custom fields in the checkout section.
Note: The following fields will be validated only for the logged in customers.
