You are selling a product for 50 USD but in-stock cost price is 20 EURO.
Set cost currency EUR, set cost price 20, your real cost in your selling price is 21.82 USD (EUR/USD)
Your profit is about 129 %
If you want you can change profit rate and auto adjust selling price.

When cron runs, It keeps your profit rate and re-calculates EUR/USD costs and sets selling price of the product.

If your cost currency and selling currency is same, then you can benefit profit margin feature.
